About Me

DO PR Elevation is Deborah Ocasio—that’s me—and Deborah Ocasio is DO PR Elevation.
I created this brand as an extension of my professional passion for public relations, strategic storytelling, and helping organizations elevate not just their visibility, but their credibility and impact.
I’m Jersey-born, Philadelphia-raised, and now I am proudly rooted in Macon, Georgia, smack dab in the middle of the state (because why not stay centered, right?). I am an only child, but God clearly thought I needed more noise in my life, so He blessed me to be the mother of three beautiful daughters and the grandmother of what I like to call the world’s greatest grandchildren.
Family keeps me grounded, inspired, and laughing at all the right (and sometimes wrong) moments.
Professionally, my career has always been centered around the sales sector, spanning retail, finance, and real estate. I have consistently operated in environments where innovation and communication weren’t optional, but drivers of success.
Marketing has never been just a job description for me; it’s always been woven into my DNA.
In 2014, I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Internet Marketing from Full Sail University.
I currently work for World Vision, which is the largest Christian humanitarian organization in the world. Their mission is simple but profound: to make sure even the most remote villages around the globe have access to life’s most essential resource, clean water. I manage all of World Vision’s East Coast. Beyond logistics, I bring my marketing savvy and public speaking skills to help leaders and communities promote their local events with excellence and impact.
My PR Passion
Public relations has been an eye-opening delight, something I stumbled into by accident, and over time, it’s become part of who I am. It has been a gift that kept showing up, again and again. I’ve unofficially worked as a PR manager in various capacities, partnering with organizations to build their community engagement and impact.
I also worked in the capacity of PR manager for former heavyweight champion Larry Holmes for over two decades, long before I ever thought about making it official. Over the years, I’ve handled media crisis situations using calm strategy and clear communication to protect reputations and shift the narrative back to strength.
One of the greatest things I love about public relations is the ability to establish, or reestablish, positive brand identity, ensuring that a brand doesn’t just survive in the spotlight, but thrives in it. I went back to Full Sail University and received a master’s in public relations, to turn a stumbled-upon gift into a sharpened profession.
Beyond Work
When I’m not behind the desk or mic, you’ll likely find me on a plane. Traveling domestically and internationally is one of my greatest joys, each new culture, each new perspective adds another layer to how I see the world. I’m also an avid reader and love playing around with media design. Creativity is my sweet spot, no matter the format.
Why Choose Me
At the heart of it all, my passion is helping organizations and brands tell their story in a way that is authentic, engaging, and impactful. I understand the power of perception, the necessity of strategy, and the importance of building lasting relationships with audiences. With a background that fuses sales, marketing, humanitarian work, media-crisis management, and decades of hands-on PR experience, I don’t just manage narratives; I elevate them.
If you’re looking for someone who can bring professionalism with a human touch, strategy with creativity, and clarity with compassion, while also safeguarding and strengthening brand identity, I would be honored to handle your PR endeavors and help your brand thrive.
